With decades of experience in the craft beer scene since 1989, Karl Strauss continues to impress! Every beer I sampled was crisp, clean, and refreshing. The food was outstanding as well. I appreciated the freedom to sit where I wanted and reorder beers or food directly from my table, eliminating the wait for a server to take my order. I can't believe I had forgotten about this gem, and I definitely plan to return. Th... View all feedback.
What Damon Thomas doesn't like about Karl Strauss Brewing Company:
Food was fine, beer is good, service was good. Ordering from your phone with no real service kinda sucks. Bartenders seemed good but we didn’t sit at the bar so the only people that had interactions with the team were people at the bar. View all feedback.
Good beer good atmosphere much more of a brewery these days and that's cool it's was a little more restaurant than brewery years ago but now it's way more brewery than restaurant. Solid place for a brew but in the high rent side of the 405. A couple breweries like green cheeks around the corner and that's hard to compete with although the two have a good collaboration!
I love the food here! The Mac Cheese, Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries are all so yummy! The chicken fingers are very good also. I've dined in here and also have done take out. The service is quickly and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely.Vegetarian options: The Brussel Sprouts are very yummy and you can order them without the bacon bits (or put them on the side if sharing).Parking: Plenty of parking in the parking structure and the outside parking lot.
I'd describe this place as an upscale bar of sorts. While one might typically anticipate a wide selection of beers and sausages, the standout feature here is undeniably the incredible steak!Ordering is done at the bar and the wait time is impressively short.I highly recommend visiting this place out!
Excellent beers. Servers know only what's printed on the menu. The food is very tasty and well prepared even though it sounds average in print. The truffle fries are super good. Good place to go. Again, they have award winning beers. That's the reason our party of 11 went here.Food: 5/5
First time at Karl Strauss in a very very long time. We just made it into happy hour and had about 10 to 15 minutes until it ended.I usually like to drink coffee stouts. There were a couple of options here that I like to which included the golden stout that was different. I took a four pack of golden stout and a small growler of wreck alley, I think it is wreck alley, home also.Happy hour prices are not great but at least they have something. The food was decent. The bartender was friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is laid back with a good amount of seating. If I am in the area I may come back for more beer.
