Second time coming in two weeks after seeing shows at Segerstrom. Love the themed drinks to the shows at Segerstrom. Food is really good. Had the lobster BLT this time. Very delicious. View all feedback.
What D Quin doesn't like about Claim Jumper Costa Mesa:
I was unaware that some Claim Jumpers remained open. This location was not as well maintained as many of their former restaurants. It has a slightly run down look. The waiter was attentive though though the bus boy who brought our food was rude and curt. The cheeseburger was mediocre as were the sliders. View all feedback.
I ordered a chicken pot cake and it was so salty I couldn't even finish it. it had a lot of sweet and huh in it, and had the potential to be good, but who should drop the salt shaker in it.
Claim Jumper was punctual with our reservations and the service, food and atmosphere were very good.
This was a very busy night as this location is in a mall and Christmas shoppers were out. The service was amazing…as well as the good and prices.
The Ceasar salad was average and portion side small. No bread is given. Main course had large portions and everything tasted great. No one ate the vegetables, would recommend green bean casserole next year as a replacement. They also had poor planning since this was a small menu by running out of the pumpkin martini and pumpkin cheese cake pie. The atmosphere and main course was what my party liked the best on this thanksgiving meal.
So, first let me say we have always loved Claim Jumpers in Roseville, CA. Great food at a great price. We decided to try it for Thanksgiving and never again. First, when we asked about the wine choices on the pre selected wine menu the waiter knew nothing and his disclaimer was “I don’t drink wine”. The quality of the food was worse than a strip mall buffet. My meal came as one big pile of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cooked apples and some nasty onion stir fry (which ruined the whole meal). The meal was covered in fried onions from the stir fry I couldn’t eat it. I thought, well at least I can eat the pumpkin pie. Sure enough it tasted like a mass produced pie. Costco pies are 1,000x better than their pumpkin and apple pie. I am SO thankful that people were willing to sacrifice their holiday to cook for others. But for a few hundred bucks for all of us we will skip Claim Jumpers for our dinners out and find another spot.
