Anchor - Costa Mesa

It is always a great time in the original pizza top and the anchor rod down stairs. the personal is so friendly and helpful. great place and a wonderful experience for the people who are not from the opposite. Come down.

Monday night open mic event is a 'must go ' if you 're a fan of stand up comedy and/or dive bars with interesting crowds. Was shocked by the number of comics some of whom I 've seen on stage live or on TV and it 's a rapid fire progression of talent ranging from 'nice try... next! ' to 'give this guy more time '. Well organized and friendly staff. The pizza is pretty damn good too. The only down side is that it 's a small place for what 's now a genuinely busy night. Would give it 4.5 if that were possible.

1st time patron. Was hard to find, but once inside... The drinks were reasonable and the pepperoni pizza really good. The staff gets 5 out of 5 stars!!! Super friendly and very welcoming. I'd visit again just because of how nice the staff was. Definitely a great local pit stop if I lived near by.

I 'm not sure if the other reviews are fake or not because I went there on a Saturday night and there were literally 5 people hunched over the bar and that 's it. The upstairs was closed. I went to ask the bartender for a drink only to be given a what do you want? Attitude. I ordered a drink, took a few sips and left. I gave them 2 starts instead of 1 because this place actually exists in reality.
