I had an excellent experience with both the service and the sandwich. I ordered online and made special requests for items not typically on the menu. I enjoyed the Salami Monster on sourdough for a picnic during a harbor cruise, and it was packed with all the delicious ingredients. Best of all, it was ready right on time, and they truly delivered!
I visited the restaurant to grab a pastrami sandwich. I ordered it to go from the counter, but I found that ordering in advance through their website would have been a smarter choice because parking was a real hassle. I had to drive around the parking lot for about 10 minutes just to find a spot. I chose grilled bread because I like my rye crispy, but after a 35-minute drive home, the bread ended up soft—so that's on me. The pastrami, however, was thick, juicy, and very flavorful. They only offered Boar's Head deli mustard instead of yellow mustard, which meant the sandwich didn't have the kick I was hoping for. Overall, I would rate the sandwich 4 stars. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful, and it only took about 10 minutes from placing my order to receiving my sandwich.

I don’t live here anymore, but passed by while I was in the area. 17th Street Deli is an absolute delight and I’m so happy I stumbled upon it! I really was just expecting a sandwich, but you really won’t know until you go..it's a must-visit. Top-notch service, homemade tuna salad, and they’re quick! My wife had the pastrami and said it was one of the best she’s ever had. I guess that one is their special! Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
Absolutely love this place! Stopped by with my friend to try their sandwiches and here we go, letting you know that it’s definitely worth trying. Helpful and welcoming personnel, yummy food and all in all a nice place for a brunch.
