Was Doug B at The Gigglin Pig a mag?
I discovered this restaurant while staying at Cosby campground. We both ordered the regular sandwich with two sides. The pulled pork and coleslaw were good, but the baked beans were even better! In the Gatlinburg area, which is filled with endless tourist traps, this place is a fantastic find. View all feedback.

Two guys running a little shack serving barbecued meats at a crossroads in the middle of nowhere. This was likely the best meal I didn't prepare all week, and I'd consider driving two hours again just to enjoy it in their open dining area. It may not be as fancy as Ruth's Chris, but it's a much better value, especially when you factor in the time and travel. On our way to Gatlinburg for a few days of romance, we got a bit snacky and stopped at the second place we saw (the first one was closed). We had to choose between a cute but kitschy Italian restaurant and the bright pink Gigglin' Pig. Trust me on this: always go with pink. It's the color of carnations, strawberry shakes, women's lips, properly cooked meat, and apparently, great dining spots. I ordered a quarter chicken and pulled pork with coleslaw and beans, with the sauce on the side. The coleslaw was a mix of shredded, colorful, crunchy vegetables in a lightly creamy dressing—just how good slaw should be! The pulled pork was hot, moist, and smoky, while the chicken was tender and succulent—not the usual greasy, overly charred mess you often get.

The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. While there is no indoor seating available, there is a covered outdoor picnic area if you'd like to eat on-site. Prices are quite reasonable. We ordered the pulled pork, BBQ beans, slaw, buns, and four drinks, which we affectionately named The Family Pig-nic. The only slight drawback was that the sauce was missing from our order, so we had to return to get it.
