What User doesn't like about Il Pastaficio:
Firstly, the fresh pasta and sauces are great. However, pricing has ballooned since they opened. Furthermore, you are unable to purchase fresh pasta less than a pound. Originally, you were able to purchase any weight which works out well when dining for one or two. 1/4 of a pint of sauce will set you back around $12 or more. We had a special private dinner from the guys from Il Pastaficio and we were very impressed. We have never had the highest quality of the ingredients they used to make some really special dishes. We had the best Branzino ever and the ink linguine with the Bottarga! the quality is like a dinner in a 3 star Michelin restaurant . The guys also prepare an amazing cake for the special event that they call Crostata with Custard cream and raspberries. Thank you. Guys, we want to have you here on the next occasion....last but not least they also gave us some Sardinian amaretti as a special treat of Pastaficio House .
How could you not start Il Pastaficio 5?! I felt right back when I went to this place. Clean, cozy and welcoming. Federico, the owner is super nice, we also met Nicolò the cook and Roberta the branch manager. The food is really good, definitely authentic Italian style. The dish of the day “Pumpkin Potatoes ravioli with ragú” was delicious!!!!! In reality we appreciate everything we tried: pesto fusilli, lasagna, Salat, focaccia (bombbbb), salumi e formaggi. Let us not forget one of the desserts I love most, which is so difficult to find in the states: salame al cioccolato, sooo yummy!!!! Back to New York now but will definitely visit Il Pastaficio and recommend it to my people.
OMG...I heard from Il Pastaficio make a friend of mine and finally I tried. I have the Ravioli ricotta and spinach, the old grain Pici with wild board ragu....some crostata, the Tiramisu the real and the Salame di cioccolato incredible. At this point I am very frightening because I think I should become addicted and I don't have to go to Italy because I've ever found the best food here... and better than in Italy.
You have to stop in and try the pasta for take home. Your family and friends will think about your cooking all the time.
