Everything was good.. had the sweetest blonde waitress... I do believe she was newer but she went well beyond what she needed to do... the food was absolutely delicious.. they had live entertainment in the main dining area... we were seated just outside of that area but we could still enjoy the music... it was a wonderful break from camping meals that day... just too hot and humid to cook over the fire).. we will go... What Sharon Simmons doesn't like about El Torero Mexican:
We went in for lunch, and it seemed like most of the workers were at the bar area socializing instead of working. They were very loud. Food was very bland and not a good representation of Mexican food. I make better tacos at home. Service was horrible. For example, after taking our empty plates, the server walked off and didn't come back. We had to flag someone down who told our server to give us our ticket. He was t... View all feedback.
My friend and I went out to eat for dinner and I ordered two chicken tacos, rice, and a margarita. When I bit into my taco, I felt something crunchy, so I spit it out, and it was a plastic tag. Immediately, I was disgusted, and didn’t finish my food. When our waiter came over to our table, I told him politely about the tag that was in my taco and he didn’t even apologize. Then, he brought out our checks, and charged me for both tacos and the rice. I said I was not going to pay for the tacos and he said “ well you are at least paying for the rice and the other taco”. I’m very disappointed in the service and cleanliness of this establishment. Considering when I showed him the tag in my taco, he picked it up and carried it inside with him ? I understand accidents happen but at least be respectful and apologetic.
Food is great, service is great, owner not so much. August 8th I was there having lunch after a work meeting. My phone slid off booth seat, fell on floor, so I thought. There were no covers over floor vents and my phone fell down the said vent. The bus boy tried reaching down vent to grab it but only came up with forks, knives, food. Owner showed up and SAID he had purchased vents and never got around to installing them, it WAS HIS FAULT. Marisol (owner) asked me to give him a couple days to removed vent in basement to retrieve said phone. Never happened. Monday I purchased a new phone, I could been a jerk and bout the most expensive phone but I bought a cheap 1 that would work for me. I dropped of receipts at restaurant and texted him a copy. He asked me what he needed to pay me for, not his problem... then he said he don't like problems so he was going to hire someone to open vent. 2 days later nothing. I loved this place, atmosphere and employees. Not so much anymore. I guess if something happens to your personal property while dining, it's your fault. Dine at your own risk
Service was so bad. Saw the waiter twice in an hour. Food is definitely not worth the prices either.

Our food came out at 3 different intervals and there were only 4 of us. At no time did any staff check on us until it was time to get the bill. When we informed the young man that the service was sub par he just laughed nervously. My wife asked for a box but instead they brought the check. Then they were absolutely incredulous to their lack of service. To the point of being ignorant. Then they wanna tell us not to come back. We'll you ain't gotta worry about that. This place sucks to the highest degree. By the way it was one of the owners that behaved like this.
