Lago Pianozes - CORTINA D'AMPEZZO

Wow wow and wow. Just perfection. We arrived to find the prettiest of restaurants. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The Food. Where do I start. Totally delicious definitely worth a visit. It’s definitely a 10 out of 10.

This remains the best restaurant in Cortina for meat. Max will come to your table to present the cuts and types and all you have is to choose. Adri will recommend wines that are excellent while reasonable. I return at least once a month!

We sat on the deck by the lake. We had excellent salad and pasta to start, then great grilled steak, although a bit too rare for some. And the desserts were beautiful.

My partner was born and grew up in Cortina and suggested we dine here for my birthday. Very pleased. I had a tomahawk steak which was superbly cooked, not easy to cook well such a large piece of meat but the chef achieved this. The accompanying chips were among the best I have ever had. If it weren 't for tomahawk steak then this place would be considered fine dining, but very reasonably priced, and very romantic sitting by the lake with the mountainous backdrop. Well done to the chef and his team. I now visit Italy a lot, and have learned that the best places are off the beaten track. This one is well worth the visit.

A cornice dello splendido Lago Pianozes, a pranzo sulla terrazza, bell'accoglienza, entrata di benvenuto, insalata non banale , scelgo un fuoripista , spaghetti al nero meravigliosi, un bianco a calice di prima fascia e, essendo in moto , chiudo con un po' di rammarico , servizio curato e professionale...prezzo adeguato alla proposta del Locale, ancora uno sguardo al lago e via.....
