Los Xitomates - CORRAL DEL RISCO

Suivez le chemin qui vous conduit un peu en hauteur, à la maison abritant le restaurant. Arrivée sympathique, avec accueil du Chef et photo devant la magnifique porte en bois :) Peu de tables à l'intérieur, ambiance intime avec là aussi le Chef qui vous reçoit comme un ami (si bien sûr vous êtes vous-même amical, cela va de soi), vous donne toutes les explications nécessaires, mêlant le français et l'espagnol, et une équipe aux petits soins pour vous ! Ajoutez-y un chanteur traditionnel qui est par ailleurs un homme cultivé avec qui vous pouvez discuter (en espagnol) de comment va le monde, et qui peut vous chanter ce qui vous fait plaisir. Et couronnez le tout par une cuisine efficace ! J'ai pour ma part adoré le thon à la mode de Vera Cruz ! Certains convives ont peut être eu des plats un peu moins parfaits que le mien, mais moi je valide !Un lieu un peu atypique, qui change des restaurants traditionnels. Bonne humeur et ambiance amicale que nous garderons en mémoire ! Merci Chef !

We came here last night after cancelling our dinner twice in a row and Los Xitomates was still very welcoming. Luis was a great host and there was a very homely atmosphere in the restaurant. It was more like a dinner at a guest's house than a dinner at a garish restaurant.The food was incredible and very unique bringing fine dining to common Mexican ideas. The utilisation of pre-Hispanic culinary techniques brought a cuisine that was incomparable to the other places that we had eaten at. Although the ingredients may have been the same the dishes were wildly different and so interesting to experience. My personal favourite was the huitlacoche, a mushroom that grows on corn.I recommend los xitomates to anyone looking for a fine dining experience that's very genuine and unique. They have really given me something to remember.

Ate at Xitomatoes as a group of 8 on April 2, 2017. Cocktails fabulous, poolside view fabulous, food fabulous. I am always cautious about ordering beef outside of the USA, but the special steak I had here was unbelievably excellent. Best steak ever!!!. The rest of the group also had similar high praise for everything else on the menu. This restaurant should be Michelin rated and is one of the best in the world. I will return to Punta Mita just to eat here again. Can't wait

El lugar es muy bonito, en la montaña con vista parcial de la bahía, muchas aves de colores, el personal es muy amable, el servicio muy bueno, la comida excelente.

Este restaurante de reciente apertura en Punta de Mita fue toda una sorpresa. Fuimos en familia en el mes de diciembre y salimos todos encantados.En una ubicación privilegiada, una casa espectacular y con un magnífico ambiente par disfrutar de una suculenta cena. Imperdibles los tacos de pato, las quesadillas de langosta y la cabrería de plato fuerte. De postre los helados artesanos son deliciosos.
