the service was great, the man who cuts the meat saw that the people behind us went before us and immediately said I was there first, but I told them to go on as we were not ready. I can't say how much I appreciate it. eating was so good. my 3yo chased everything! we will definitely visit again when we are in the city! View all feedback.
What Toni M doesn't like about Silverado Smokehouse:
This being my first ever review says a lot due to I am not a critic, but the level of disappointment is not acceptable. The prices they have the audacity to charge is shameful for the quality of BBQ we received. Hardest, dry and improperly cut ribs and brisket should have been disposed of hours before serving. Hoping my dog enjoys the at least $25 (half of what we paid) doggy bag worth of beef jerky I am bringing hom... View all feedback.
Found the food to be very bland and more of a chain restaurant taste. Brisket was flavorless couldn't tell if it was dry or wet rub. No seasoning present and lacked any marbling. No flavor present representing anything of a hickory smoke flavor as well. Had a smoke ring but nothing else besides being dry meat. Sausage was more than likely a restaurant grade product. Seemed like something from restaurant supplier brand or Eckrich sausage. Sides were not anything spectacular. They weren't different but just the same old staples that come from a big box or giant can. I do not recommend them for being a place to get quality brisket or other bbq favorites. I didn't finish my plate. I couldn't find the effort to finish it much like the effort that was used to prepare it. I understand it's also a neighborhood restaurant but we should expect better quality barbecue in South Texas. They may have those awards plastered all around but their food lacked flavor and any hint of innovation when it comes to making flavorful barbecue. I challenge people to visit other barbecue joints on your travels and see what we are missing and should want in Corpus Christi.
Overall great ribs and brisket.. really wanted to try the Beef Ribs but they sold out by 12:30. One of the best in Corpus? great tasting sides and corn rolls. Worth the visit when needing the bbq fix
Came during lunch time, not very busy but plenty of staffing. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Got the ribs and brisket 2 sides and a drink. It came out to $30, before the tip. The sides were good, however the brisket was dry and the ribs were burnt. Had to soak them in bbq sauce to finish them. I decided to get the carrots cake, don't do it. It tasted old and extremely dry. I would have given this place a 3 star at least, but the prices knocked it down another star. A meal for 1 shouldn't cost $40, regardless of the modern times.
1st time dining in for lunch with family, we all enjoyed our chosen meals. I had the dark chicken pieces with green beans, nice smoky flavor on the chicken and green beans with bacon, can’t go wrong. Most enjoyable lunch.
Good steak great service smelled good walking up to the door
