I submitted a request on the website for a price quote for a 90s themed birthday cake and quickly received a response from Michelle. She was very friendly and accommodating. I sent her a Pinterest photo with some “inspiration” to work from and let me tell you—she delivered!! The cake was beautiful! When we picked it up, it was quite heavy. Turns out our piña colada flavored cake was made with fresh pineapple and coco... View all feedback.
What Kortnie Bird doesn't like about Let Them Eat Cake:
The 10inch strawberry cake with chocolate icing cost us $65. It tasted like something out of a Duncan Hines box with old Pillsbury frosting. Probably should have known that the cake wasn't going to be any good when the man who walked out in a tube top told me he didn't eat cake. In addition to the very poor quality/extremely overpriced cake. Speaking to them on the phone was not enjoyable. Was made to feel like I was... View all feedback.
The flavors are scrumptious!! Their cafe is so cute and delicious! I don’t have one bad thing to say
Was made to feel like I was asking too much just by ordering. It was clearly my own mistake not ever placing the order in the first place. My kid could've made a better tasting one, and with less attitude.
I always try to shop small businesses first but I was extremely disappointed when I ordered a custom made cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was way overpriced for the quality of compared to another small local business. Dry, edible paper cuts that just looked tacky. Threw it out and went to HEB and got a very presentable and delicious cake for a third of the price. Not everyone takes pride in their work. Will cut and past this review to Yelp and Google so maybe someone sees it and doesn’t have a disaster like we did.
We had your cake for the first time this weekend and it was the worst cake ever. It was extremely dry and not edible! I felt so bad for the birthday girl. The mother and grandmother were not happy at all. I really think they deserve a full refund. As a baker myself i think that you should examine your cakes before you put frosting on them. Frosting does not fix dry!
I was initially pleased with my order in the last year as my food allergy kiddos have never had cake and for the first time, my five year old got to celebrate her birthday with cake last year. Unfortunately, this year was a different story. We are now at the ER today as my daughter took two licks of the icing and complained that her throat was hurting. Soon after, she started having hives on her throat and complained her stomach hurt. Two-system reaction (gut and hives) would call for an EpiPen and a trip to the ER. When I called to find out what was in the cake and probed deeper... I found out that the food coloring used was manufactured in a facility that also contains the food she's allergic too. I had to ask a lot of questions to get here. They were apologetic and didn't know, but I wish they were a bit more knowledgeable on this matter especially if advertising as safe for life threatening food allergy clients. I'm severely disappointed and will not be buying here anymore.
