Was Anonym at Australia a mag?
We had dinner at the Australia Hotel. I had roast pork and the three other people had roast lamb. meals in most Aussie pubs are always generous but this outdid any I have had previously. All the meat, vegies, apple sauce and gravy were hot and fresh. Served with a smile by happy friendly staff. The cost was similar to the cost of an entree in the city. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Australia:
The seafood stone grill meal was good, plenty of seafood on a hot stone. On the other hand the lightly battered fish was like a solid rock of batter with a sliver of fish. One good meal one awful meal, however the chips in both cases were great. View all feedback.
We booked many tables on a Tuesday night for dinner. Our table was for 9 friendsAnother table had a seating for 12 and further tables, total of 37 people. We were from the Mornington Peninsula Area in Corowa to play bowls for a week. Service was excellent and the Pork Belly was decided the best choice. I had a seniors Chicken Schnitzel which covered the whole of my plate. Service was excellent and the food was great especially for the price.
Good beer. We only stopped for a bar snack and a drink. No complaints about either. Staff were friendly and service was quick and done with a smile. Would go back again and recommend it.
Good Aussie meals done well with lots of veggies. Service was good meals came out quickly and my steak cooked to perfection
I went to this restaurant for lunch with some friends and I can honestly say that I would not go back anytime soon. The food was very questionable. Each of us ordered a different dish, but we all had concerns. The steak was extremely overcooked, dry, and tough. The rissoles were so tough that we couldn't even cut through them. The vegetables appeared to be frozen and were watery and discolored. The gravy in one of the dishes was so thick that it didn't even move when the plate was turned upside down. Overall, the food was too simple for what we expected from a typical pub meal.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem during our visit to Corowa and were pleasantly surprised. Despite not finding a menu on their website, we decided to take a chance and try the stone grill. We ordered the fillet steak, which was cooked on a hot granite stone to our liking. The steak was of top quality, incredibly tender, and served with delicious veggies. After dining out for three weeks in New South Wales, this meal was hands down the best we had.
