The menu boasts a variety of dishes, particularly appealing to vegans, with an emphasis on the market table where many flavorful items can be customized. Diners praise the delicious focaccia pizza and inventive chilaquiles, while the friendly service adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Although some found the hummus a bit oily and certain dishes overly salty, the overall experience, complemented by tempting pastries and drinks, makes it a must-visit for breakfast or lunch, but note that dinner is not served.
The best vegan food in Orange County can be found if you opt for the market selection instead of the menu. There are always a few new dishes as well as plenty of classic options. Approximately two-thirds of the market dishes are vegan, although the labeling may not always be clear so it is best to ask the staff for clarification.
We started with a plate of fresh raw vegetables and hummus. The vegetables were good, but they were a bit salty and the hummus had too much oil for my liking. The vegetarian in our group ordered a focaccia pizza and enjoyed it, saying it was very filling. We also shared a vegan, gluten-free almond bar that had minimal ingredients, which is why we chose it. It was delicious.
Don't bother with the menu, opt for the market table for vegan options instead. Be cautious of the abundance of cheese in the menu offerings. The service is friendly, the food is fresh, and there are some tasty drinks available. It would have been even better if they offered vegan desserts beyond just fruit.
We had a fresh veggie and hummus plate. It was good, but there was some salt on the sweet dishes and extra oil on the hummus that I wasn't thrilled about. The vegetarian in our group enjoyed her focaccia pizza and thought it was very filling. We also tried a vegan, gluten-free mandel bar that had minimal ingredients, which is why we chose it. It was delicious.
This charming restaurant is located on Pacific Coast Highway and offers a delightful dining experience.
