Blackhawk Bbq - Corona de Tucson

I had a wonderful time sitting outside at the grill, enjoying live music. They made a reservation for us, and the host or owner personally came by to greet us. The staff took our order and brought the meals to our table. The only downside was the flies; they were quite bothersome. I had a lot to eat and ended up taking a box home. So, either go for a darker spot or choose a bug-resistant option. I’m sure the fly situation would be better in different seasons. The food was excellent!

We've been looking for a big BBQ place since we've moved back to the AZ Desert 8 years ago. we think it was a long trip, 10 years in colo almost 8 years here in az, but we found it in blackhawk bbq. in the area of santa barbara we lived with the santa maria style bbq Tri-Tip until we moved in 2005. yesterday there for the first time the smoked brisket, chix pulled pork was moist, had not dried much smoked taste. I spoke to the owner for 5 minutes, very nice courteous explained how they smoke their flesh. looks like a large sitting area in the open. Now that it cools down, it will be a nice environment to relax, have some great food. we will tell our friends here in qc to try.

The restaurant features live music, a wonderful and friendly staff, and the barbecue is absolutely delicious!

Excellent Food. My son and I had the 4 bone combo with 2 extra bones and 2 sides . Potato Salad and Waffle Fries . Great Value. Terrific atmosphere.
