What Carlos Mendez doesn't like about Mariscos El Barco Mexican Restaurant:
I went with 3 friends to eat on Friday, the food was generally good, except for a dozen oysters that we ordered for everyone. The following Saturday and Sunday we were all intoxicated and practically without leaving the bathroom. We all attributed the poisoning to the oysters because it was the only thing we ate in common. I repeat, the food is generally good, just avoid the oysters View all feedback.
O man, I feel bad for choosing to come to eat here. The good about the restaurant, the service, and the fact that it was clean. Food was not good AT ALL!!! I ordered an horchata to drink and it tasted like burned milk, the pepino agua that my husband got was ok. We ordered tostadas de ceviche de camaron, pescado, and a regular tostada de camaron..... no manches, todo sabia a puro ostion... it all had an oyster taste. I don't think they clean or wash their seafood. Unfortunately that was the only taste there was to everything. My husband even ordered a coctel de camaron and it was so nasty, it was super sweet. I definitely would not recommend eating here.
First time try this place . Delicious and fresh ?. Recommend.
Incredible first experience at El Barco. The ceviche, pazole, the service… everything was amazing. I’ll be coming here regularly ??
Enchiladas pretty good, beef a little tuff but sauce, beans and rice good. Bistec Rancheros meat a little chewy, needs to be marinated and thicker juice. Tortillas store bought, should be homemade. Pricey for quality. Waitress nice and Restaurant clean with nice decorations but to warm inside during summer.
July 3, my boyfriend and I decided to stop for some food in our way to palms sprint. The place was pretty empty. We order oyster, Agua Chile and some marisco tacos. While we were waiting they served us chip and salsa. The green salsa was amazing, but the red tasted rotten, so we didn't eat it. When are main dishes arrived to the table, the oyster tasted fishy and old, so we only ate a few and left the rest. My boyfriend finished his tacos, wich were very oily, but still had a good taste. My Agua chile,,, oh boy. It was beyond spicy, the shimps were pre cooked and trow in the green spicy sauce. they tasted funy. Like perfume. I just couldn't eat them. When I approached the waitress about it, she advised me to complain right away in order to give me my money back. Even though I didn't even touched the dish. It was uneatable. As a result I ended with blisters in my mouth and me and my boyfriend got food poising that lasted 3 day. We do not recommend this place for any reason.
