Was CL (Chrissy) at Wharf Rd a mag?
Once again! After our fantastic dinner at Pepper Tree, we were truly impressed by this charming café right next door. You have to try it for yourself; the food tastes as delicious as it looks. This place really captures the essence of "Take another piece of my heart," just as Janis once sang. View all feedback.

After visiting nearly every other café in town, we stumbled upon Wharf Rd and were immediately struck by the thought, "Why haven't we discovered this place sooner?" The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, but what truly sets this café apart is the food. We were impressed by the diverse menu and reasonable prices. As a vegetarian café, it was even more special for us. The dishes are not only creative and nutritious but also very satisfying. It's safe to say that Wharf Rd has become our favorite spot for both coffee and meals in Coromandel.

The food was delightful. We enjoyed sitting outside in the back. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the "ugly bagel" with avocado, and it was incredibly flavorful. My husband had mushrooms on toast, and the mushrooms were massive – they looked just like steaks!

It's not often that a small-town café impresses a vegan diner with more than just a raw slice and a cup of black coffee, but Wharf Rd certainly did! I would have rated it five stars just for their effort in offering a cashew cream avocado toast, but that was just the beginning. Both the avocado toast and the mushroom flatbread were outstanding in taste and presentation. The staff were polite and always ready to help, and my long black coffee, made from Allpress roast, was expertly crafted. While they didn't have soy milk, there were other non-dairy milk options available. The dessert selection for vegans is somewhat limited; however, they mentioned having a raw caramel slice stored in a freezer upstairs. Overall, I was extremely impressed, and my dining companion and I agreed that it was some of the best breakfast we've had in quite some time!

Yesterday was my birthday, and my partner and I decided to take a long drive and enjoy a nice lunch in Coromandel. Unlike our usual routine of checking reviews and recommendations, we wanted to keep things spontaneous. I couldn't be happier with our choice! After a fantastic drive, we strolled around the town center and were drawn to the lovely ambiance of a cafe, unaware that it offered a variety of vegetarian dishes. The menu was intriguing, and the staff were friendly and engaging. They checked all the boxes, and the food truly exceeded our expectations. As a vegetarian, I've had my fair share of delicious meals, but this was something refreshingly different. We ordered Cajun cornbread and Cilbir eggs, both of which were incredibly tasty. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!
