We were staying close by so could walk to the village pub and enjoy a few drinks. The Cornwall gin with tonic was brilliant! Had the soup of the day, prawn and crayfish starters and then lasagna tried both the meat and roasted veg and goats cheese versions. Both delicious, generous served with salad and chips. No room for pudding! View all feedback.
What Carolyn C doesn't like about The White Hart:
I visited the White Hart with my family while we were on holiday in St. Teath. The pub is quite grubby and we were effected by cigarette smoke which was coming in through the open doors. The food is mediocre and the portions are huge, our grandchildren were overwhelmed by the size of their meals, they were big enough for an adult with a big appetite. There must be a very large amount of wastage which we find upsettin... View all feedback.
Just returned from the most lovely meal here. Sunday evening after cycling the Camel trail and all feeling exhausted. Family of 6 plus 3 grandparents. They put us all in our own little room near the bar. Food was gorgeous, all 9 of us really enjoyed our meals. The owner was so nice and chilled out, but made enough checks on us all to make sure all was okay. He made a fuss of our dog too and brought her some biscuits. All the staff were fantastic, excellent service. Traditional interior, felt lovely and cosy.
Great local pub, friendly staff, landlord and locals. Great food using local ingredients- highly recommended
Barry and his team provided first class service on the evening of the 25th July a small family gathering of 15 social distancing and hygiene first class to make you feel comfortable while enjoying a great selection of food freshly cooked to order and the fish and chips well best I have had in a village pub. Cornish beer on draft how I missed a freshly drawn pint. They made our event fantastic and Barry is a great host thanks Mitch too and the rest of the staff.
We were staying in the village and booked a table a week in advance. The pub is lovely, really warm and had a nice atmosphere. The service was quick (even with the rugby on) and the food was really lovely, good sized portions and the waiter was very attentive. One to visit if your in the area!!
Had a drink, came back for a meal the next night. Great atmosphere log fire, warm, cosy. I had brisket, perfectly cooked and superb portion size, served as a thick chunk, not wafer thin slices. Cannot recommend enough if you want a proper pub, avoid if you think gastro pubs are nice places to be!
