What Coastal16552997199 doesn't like about The Thirsty Scholar:
Not the best. We had what was a full rack of ribs (1/4 rack of ribs) with runny coleslaw, shop bought greasy fries and questionable home made BBQ sauce. Maybe we just expect more than what we can do at home nowadays for £40 plus pounds. View all feedback. What steveissy likes about The Thirsty Scholar:
Lovely place to eat , great service and atmosphere. Lots of options not available due to delivery shortages, however the staff explained this the menu was vast. We really enjoyed the food and the burger deal. £8-50 Also got nhs discount on other things. Would recommend great to have home made chips. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in the charming town of Penryn, this restaurant offers a delightful escape from the bustling crowds of nearby Falmouth. Patrons rave about the warm hospitality and friendly service, complemented by a diverse menu featuring both comforting pies and creative vegetarian options. While some reviews highlight inconsistent experiences with certain dishes, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive. Diners appreciate the cozy atmosphere, particularly drawn to the log burner, and the high-quality, homemade food. As a favorite among locals and university students alike, this establishment is not to be missed for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience.
