What a fantastic find! We walked from Gwithian Beach, through the sand dunes, and finally reached the beach (with our lovely, swimming dog in tow). It was a pleasant walk and we stumbled upon a café. We placed our order inside and sat outside at one of the picnic benches with our dog. Our drinks and cakes arrived promptly. The latte was delicious and the lemon cake was incredible! What User doesn't like about The Rockpool:
I came here based on a friend's recommendation after the car from Warwick dropped me off. I ordered a couple of beers and sat outside. When I looked at the menu and decided to order some pizzas at 3:09pm, I was immediately informed that the kitchen was closing at 3 and my order was rejected. My man and I had the Rindsirolan roast dinner, it was one of the most tasty Sunday dinners we both had in very long time (to eat out there, that is)
Went for breakfast, main thing was the restaraunt stank of Urine! Thought we were maybe near the toilets but we weren’t. Was really off putting and almost walked out Menu was limited, had a full English which was very poor, 1 sausage, 2 small slithers...of bacon, yet 2 eggs and 3 pieces of toast? Won’t be going back when there is so many of nice places in Cornwall to eat!
A relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff offering a good selection of food from all day breakfasts to soup of the day, fish and chips, pizzas etc. All well prepared and tasty. It is conveniently close to the beach.
We went to the Rockpool after hearing good things. We can't sit inside as we have a nervous dog so picked a quiet corner outside. My husband went in for a menu and was told that they only serve pizza outside. Never known a place...have a menu for inside and only pizza outside. Ridiculous. Maybe you need to put this on your website as we had driven out of our way looking forward to a tasty burger and fries only to be told that it wasn't an option if we had to sit outside. Very disappointing
We ate here after watching the seals from Godrevy cliffs. The staff are excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent with a great choice. The local mussels were excellent.
