What Paul Johansing likes about The Rising Sun:
Cosy little pub in the historic village of kingsand. Friendly and usually lovely in the holiday season, it's a great place to while away a couple of hours. Had a decent whitebait, but the menu has many specials to choose from as well as pub classics. View all feedback. What suesmail46 doesn't like about The Rising Sun:
Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Just the locals in situ when we arrived. Only one barmaid who was also helping in kitchen so bar unattended for long periods Ordered two drinks and a chilli cheese chips ham pea soup. £8.95 for the soup was a bit steep with one slice of thin bread There was a wait of 25 minutes for the food and the soup was lukewarm on arrival but was hungry so didn't return to the kitchen. It tasted OK... View all feedback.

The friendly staff, including owner Nicky, create a warm and inviting environment for both locals and visitors.
