We initially intended... read more The Bear Bar is a fantastic spot to take a leisurely stroll from Polzeath to Rock along the coast before looping back to The Point inland. We initially intended to stop for tea/coffee and a cake but ended up trying the staff-recommended homemade sausage roll instead. It was sizable, tasty, and reasonably priced. You may find that you're satisfied with just that for a while.

The staff were friendly, the food was tasty, and the shared starters were generous. Our main courses were delicious and the desserts were also good. The prices were reasonable and we enjoyed a lovely evening, largely thanks to the staff. It's a good idea to make a reservation in advance as the restaurant tends to get busy.

I stayed with my family and cousins and everything I can say is that it was amazing. the house was incredibly well cleaned, gardeners came on the first day and cut the grass of the garden, which was incredibly helpful. bedroom. were super spacious and incredibly clean and the bed was very comfortable. would recommend to anyone who wants to book a beautiful family house/family house in polzeath.

We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for... read more I went to this restaurant for a birthday party and was extremely let down. The food was awful and the service was terrible. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our main course with no apology from the wait staff. There were only 4 tables in the restaurant, so there was no excuse for the slow service. We will not be returning, which is a shame since we are local.
