Contribute FeedbackThe Mermaid, a quaint pub, has drawn in patrons with its charming setting and varied menu. However, recent visits reveal a concerning decline in food quality and hygiene. Diners have reported rubbery scallops and dry burgers, while cleanliness issues, particularly a lack of soap in restrooms, raised eyebrows. Service experiences vary greatly, with some noting excellent staff, while others highlight a rude manager. Despite some positive feedback on the high-quality dishes and views, many patrons leave disappointed, questioning the overall value and consistency of this once-beloved establishment. A revisit may require caution for a satisfactory experience.
Great food, nice view. only let them go from trek to loos. I walked with a crutch and found the stairs difficult as they can't hold the handrail to pull themselves. I don't think they have a disabled toilet, as I have asked in the past when I thought I was disabled. unless it is a new supplement.
Fabulous atmosphere in this friendly pub in an ideal location. Beer was well kept. What more could you ask for?
Pleasantly surprised by many vegan options here, although they could do with a little more taste. there is also a good selection of ales, beer and lemons. beautiful small pub near the kais with a domestic feeling. would recommend.
