The Kings Head

We visited The Kings Head restaurant years ago and had a great experience. After not visiting for a few years, we decided to book a table and were delighted to find that the quality of the food and service had not changed. We both had the best lamb apron ever, cooked to perfection with excellent vegetables. The prawn cocktail was also superb. The restaurant offers smaller main courses for those who cannot manage a full meal, which we appreciated. The value for the meals was great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always happy whenever we visited. We were so impressed that we made a point to travel to the restaurant just to eat there. We are looking forward to our next holiday in Cornwall so we can return. Highly recommended. Andy and Sue.

Would recommend eating. they can say his all made house, good portion size and great value for money. beautiful desserts also.

Went into for a fast drink, but stayed longer than chat with staff and locals..all very friendly and had a great night. next night back to dinner. eating was good and fresh. good value. restaurant clean and many people eat there. will definitely be back....Locals be bee and apples..very nice

We booked lunch at the Kings head for lunch. Absolute top credit to them they were ridiculously short staffed but didn’t close. As far as I could tell they had one person cooking and one lady on front of house. We sat outside, ordered...food and drinks and thought-“we’ll be here a while..” not a bit. Drinks were out pronto and the food came out only a while later. Smashing burgers, hot food, tasty, delicious, and fresh. Our host made sure we had all we wanted and didn’t seem at all flustered she did apologise for the wait. She worked so hard and frankly well done. I will absolutely return.
