What BlueChip1948 doesn't like about The King Of Prussia:
We used to be regulars at this restaurant when we visited by boat in previous years, but we have not dined here this year. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated. The specials menu was limited and many items were sold out by 8pm. The tables were dirty and the staff seemed indifferent. We ordered a pint of Proper Job but were given Tribute instead. I had booked a room for my husband's birthday. When we arrived, the hotel seemed a bit run down, but we were taken to a clean bedroom with a view of the square and harbor. However, the bathroom was dirty, so my husband had to clean it himself. We then discovered that our door wouldn't close, so we informed the staff (possibly the manager), who said he would send someone up with a hairdryer in a few hours. Obviously, that wouldn't have solved the problem as the door was physically broken. When we decided to leave, the staff simply said "fine" without any attempt to apologize or make things right. It was disappointing and our weekend was ruined, so we ended up going back home.
The chef at this restaurant is extremely inflexible. It is a shame because the restaurant has great potential, but the menu is difficult to navigate if you have any food intolerances, as they are not accommodating. They did not even consider making an equal value substitution. As a result, one person in our party was unable to eat. The waitress was kind and could only apologize for the chef's lack of flexibility.

The specials menu was limited and many items were sold out by 8pm. The tables were dirty and the staff seemed indifferent. We ordered a pint of Proper Job but were given Tribute instead. The meals were average in quality, similar to typical Wetherspoons pub food. When we paid at the end of the meal using contactless, we were overcharged for drinks we did not consume. Even after correcting the bill, the price we paid for a burger, scampi, a pint, and a large glass of wine was still too high for the quality of the food and service.

We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch on October 11th and another wonderful Friday evening meal on October 16th, all in a well-run and COVID-19 safe environment.
