bookable for our anniversary so searched for a quality time. the food was flawless and we managed all 3 courses as there were long gaps between them that helped. the decor is more cafeteria than restaurant and the view from our window table was less than attractive with a view of the waterboarding with half its panels missing. the restaurant itself is part of a hotel/Spa, so there was a relaxed dress code. despite al... What janerW7045UY doesn't like about The Green Room:
We have eaten here several times in the past and have always had a good experience. We have recently had a meal here. Unfortunately the caesar salad lettuce leaves had grit in most of them and the ribeye steak which should have been medium rare turned up well done and hard round the edge. Yet our bill at the end clearly stated medium rare. The waitress communicated our order correctly however the chef was obviously n... View all feedback.
We stayed on site at Retallack Resort and on the first evening at The Lookout Restaurant. We had booked the table well in advance, but at our reservation there was no problem. A table had been reserved for us from the window overlooking the Flowrider, which was fun to observe. The food was beautiful, inexpensive and well presented. The only drawback was that the menu was quite small and it would be nice if there was a little more choice. The staff was very attentive. The reason for our visit was that we celebrated our 10th anniversary and for our surprise at the end of our meal the waitress told us that the cook was aware that it was our anniversary and would like to prepare us a special free dessert. We were treated with a selection of mini desserts to share and a glass of Prosecco each. This was a beautiful mood and made our experience special. We would like to visit again.

We ate here on Friday 2 Feb (four of us) it was extraordinary we had Sunday noon (fourteen of us) on 4 Feb and again it was exceptional, but we were very disappointed by afternoon tea on Saturday.
Booked for a special meal. Although winter was so quiet, the staff were really friendly and it felt a nice atmosphere. Food was excellent.. Steaks cooked for perfection. Husband had a dessert that was super ginger and apple with scale charges of tinted cream. All right.
Lovely food, brilliant service. Would come back again.
