Great greeting, led to lovely seats to wait and wait and wait. No, they were not busy. The waitress who presumably was allocated to our area took three customers ahead of us who came in after. The last straw was when she looked at us then went and leaned on the counter before chatting to another customer. This coffee shop is so crowded with tables in a small space that it feels suffocating unless you are very slim! I ordered a cream tea and the portions of cream were the smallest I have ever seen. When I asked for more because I still had a scone left, they didn't inform me that there would be an extra charge until I went to pay. The decor is poor, with damp spots and poorly fixed holes in the walls. Overall, the restaurant lacks any real character.
We had a great experience during our first visit to this charming coffee shop. We tried the ploughman's platter and sandwiches, both of which we found delicious. The staff were also very friendly.
Lovely, cosy atmosphere. Small, but nice. Various menu card, we had the spaghetti bolognese and the soup of the day. Very tasty and we enjoyed our meal. Friendly staff.
What a great find, simple yet delicious menus with top quality food. Very good value for money too. Would highly recommend this place
