The roast dinners are flavorful, come in generous portions, and offer a choice between small or regular sizes. The atmosphere is friendly, the landlord is lovely, and the staff are welcoming. Customers have raved about the quality, portion sizes, and deliciousness of the Sunday roasts. With prices that are extremely reasonable, it's no wonder that this pub has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The Britannia Inn is a must-visit destination for a traditional and satisfying Sunday roast experience in Cornwall.
Still the best Sunday roast by far in cornwall in terms of quality, portion, price and deliciousness. Beautiful meat, roasts and selection of veg at unbelievable price. Eat in or have it delivered
I prefer to support local businesses over chains, so I usually opt for places like Spoons, just 5 minutes away. However, I was disappointed to find that a non-premium lager like Fosters was priced at £4.20. I appreciate the competition in the market but as a fan of quality lagers, this particular option did not meet my standards. While it may be the best option available, there are much better lagers nearby at a similar price point. Overall, no complaints but I would rather pay for a higher quality beer than settle for Fosters.
Sunday lunch was excellent but lager and beer expensive. £9.15 bottle of real ale and 1664 lager. May have been overcharged. Count your change
During our stay in Newquay, we found ourselves waiting for the bus, so we decided to give the pub a try for a quick drink and meal. The pint of bitter was a bit pricey, but the meal was really delicious. However, since we were the only customers, there wasn't much of an atmosphere.
Went in here for a drink before we caught our train. It is a small pub with atmosphere and décor to match. It was quiet with only a couple of customers having a meal. The food did look good. Our only comment would be that the barman could have been a little bit more friendlier.
