Known for its friendly atmosphere and exceptional service, the restaurant serves fantastic Etheringtons Pasties and a popular Cheese Melt at reasonable prices. The food is cooked to order, ensuring freshness and quality, while its convenient hours make it a reliable stop for late arrivals. Regular patrons praise the humorous staff and the delightful, locally-sourced dishes, which offer a refreshing alternative to chain options. Consistently busy, this spot stands as a testament to its charm and culinary appeal—making it a must-visit for any traveler.
My favorite spot to stop during my frequent business trips to Cornwall. The staff is always friendly, with a mix of humor and banter. They offer decent roadside food at a reasonable price. This place has kept many drivers going during the Pandemic, as there aren't many quaint snack stops like this left - it's all big chains. I prefer to support Terrys. I highly recommend trying Emma's Tofu and Quinoa surprise burger. It's served on a bed of rocket with a pea foam drizzle and quince jus. Absolutely delicious! The staff are wonderful, and the food is lovely.
If you don't stop here for a breakfast bap or a pasty then you are seriously missing out on a treat for your taste buds and stomach.
Run by two very nice and pleasant ladies, food quality excellent and cooked as you want. Also they sell Helluva pastys (yummy). Definitely recommended
Swung by rather later than normal, but happy days they are open until 4.30 (monday to thursday) during November. So I could have a brew after all. Highly recommended.
While traveling with my family, we had initially planned to stop at Route38 but were advised to try another restaurant further down the road. I'm glad we did because the food at the layby van was fantastic - made with local meats, served quickly with a friendly smile, and priced reasonably. It was a much better option than overpriced, poorly cooked American food.
