Had a lovely sit down meal, with 8 work colleagues, think the owner is quite funny with his dry sense of humour, we enjoyed his banter. The food was delicious and hot , didn’t wait long for it even with some people having a starter and some not. All the plates were clear which is a good sign. Definitely recommend the place . What zotar doesn't like about Spice Aroma:
Ordered a meal from here to pick up. We are a 20 min drive away and had to wait in the shop 30 minutes more as they were very late with the order. When we got home with the order one item was missing and one item wrong. I rang to let them know and the manager argued with me that I was wrong and they were right! Considering we had written the order on a piece of paper so know what it was I found the customer service p... View all feedback.
Delicious food, friendly service, freshly cooked food, good selection of wine reasonably priced. Lovely friendly waiter. Great ambiance. Good value circa €30 per person, poppadums with dips served beforehand gratis. A great evening all round. We weren’t rushed very relaxed. New owners give it s try! You won’t regret it.
The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible! We waited over 2 hours for our delivery, one of our starters was missing, and we had to heat the food in the microwave. When I called the restaurant to complain, the owner shouted at me and spoke to me disrespectfully, accusing me of lying about the missing starter. He was very unprofessional on the phone. Spending £78 on food only to have to microwave it is unacceptable. I would recommend avoiding this place, as the owner seems to have a terrible attitude.

I have been visiting Spice Aroma since it first opened over 20 years ago with Felix Bishop working behind the counter. Last night I ordered a chicken rezellia (not sure on exact spelling), a dish which I 've ordered probably 20+ times. It comprises of tandoori chicken, onions peppers and is really tasty. When I got my food home, I plated up the rice, bhajis and salad and opened the rezellia and noticed it wasn 't what I 'd ordered it was a totally different dish and was almost a korma in appearance. I phoned up and explained I had been given the wrong order and they said to take it back and they would cook the correct dish. I took the korma-type main back only to be told by the owner that it was a chicken rezellia and they had used a different kind of tandoori chicken in it that wasn 't red , he couldn 't explain why there were no onions or peppers and why it was in a totally different sauce. All he had to do was cook what I 'd ordered and paid for instead of lying to my face and trying to mug me off that it was the dish I 'd ordered, which is clearly wasn 't. I will never set foot in this establishment again and I live a couple of doors away and have spent hundreds here over the past 20+ years. If you are reading this revue and think it was an off day and are thinking of trying Spice Aroma then on your head be it. I 'm a local and a regular and they even tried mugging me off telling me a dish that I had ordered well over 20 times was the totally different dish I was presented with. DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIS IS ONE REGULAR THAT WILL NEVER GIVE THEM A SINGLE PENNY EVER AGAIN THE ROBBING............
I had another disappointing takeout experience. The food was lukewarm and they forgot part of my order yet again. I had to drive back to collect the missing items, wasting fuel and ending up with even colder food. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
