We booked a night at St Moretz Hotel and decided to eat at Shorecrest restaurant. The food was excellent as was the staff, very slick and attentive service. I’ll definitely be returning. View all feedback.
What doitpf doesn't like about Shorecrest:
There was a drastic difference in service quality between breakfast and dinner. During breakfast, everything ran smoothly and efficiently with polite and attentive servers. However, in the evening, service was sloppy, staff appeared confused, and it took an excessively long time to get a simple drink order. While the experience was not great, at least the food consistently remained good. View all feedback.
The Shorecrest Restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere with polite staff and lovely warm fire. I had a Steak for mains, which was cooked to perfection whilst being nice presented and a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was very fascinating to watch the chefs work in the open kitchen and nothing was too much for the waiting staff. They walked around with a smile and happy to engage in conversation. I had a lovely evening and would highly recommend. Locals even get a discount card Thanks St Moritz.

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the staff are even more so. We called after 5pm requesting a cream tea, but the kitchen had already finished their daily scones. Zoe and Charlotte contacted the kitchen, who offered to make a fresh batch and apologized for the 20-25 minute wait. It was such a kind gesture, especially since my elderly mum was with us and it really made her day. The hot, fresh scones we were served were delicious, and Harry, who was working at the front of the house, was delightful. Thanks to Vicki and Ben in the kitchen for not only preparing our food, but also for making our day. We were surprised by how reasonable the bill was, as we were expecting it to be much more expensive. Thank you all for being so accommodating and welcoming, even though we were not staying at the hotel. I would highly recommend this place - it was truly wonderful.
This hotel has a lovely atmosphere and beautifully decorated common areas that suggest high-quality dining. The reception, bar, and lounge are stunning, but the actual restaurant feels more like a cafeteria. While the staff was excellent, the service was quite slow due to being understaffed. Our group of six ordered main courses and shared a unique bacon jam doughnut, which the waiter wisely advised against having as a main dish. The doughnut was not good, but the waiter removed it from the bill. My crab cakes were mostly brown crab meat and potato, which I did not enjoy despite my love for seafood. Three others in our group ordered burgers that were also disappointing. I would consider staying at the hotel again, but I would not dine at the restaurant.
For a luxury hotel, this restaurant is disappointing. If you are vegetarian or vegan you have serious problems because they do not cater for you. There was no vegetarian or vegan starter and when the waitress asked the chef, we were told we could have a seasonal salad. The only vegetarian/ vegan option was an Asparagus dish. Given that Asparagus is not in season and they charge us £16 for this non-seasonal dish, it is robbery! My wife and I were incredibly disappointed as the restaurant is not reflective of how nice the hotel is.
