On Holiday in Cornwall we visited on a sunny evening with family at pub opening time, hoping to have a meal, Pub was very quiet at the time. After picking a table outside we went to get menus and were told rather abruptly by who appeared to be the manager that they weren’t doing food for ‘unreserved’ tables. The food was terrible. The atmosphere was lacking and the prices were too high. This restaurant should be inspected by health authorities in September 2023.
The food is always outstanding. During this visit, we chose to sit outside. However, we have dined here numerous times and during the winter months, they typically have a cozy fire roaring inside.

Great spot off the beaten track, beautiful old historic building, interesting menu, not your average pub grub, well priced. Sadly winding down as it may close in July.
Lovely olde worlde pub with low beamed ceilings, very atmospheric. Wonderful location in a small village with a very attractive outside seating area. Recommend the fish of the day dish, tasty.
