We stopped off for a light lunch and were pleased the social distancing rules were in place, hand sanitisers on entry and exit and all staff wearing masks. We received friendly service from our waitress. We ordered two cheese and onion paninis with side salad and crisps and two small bottles of peroni. We enjoyed our lunch in this cosy place. Do give it a try. View all feedback.
What sirhchtag doesn't like about Pier One:
Trting to find a decent cafe that's OPEN in looe during winter is an achievement, but as cafes go..this is good and it was OPEN LOLStaff Very welcoming Having just had 2 TEETH OUT 2 DAYS PREVIOUS...Thought I'd have scrambled egg on toast and hot chocolate.Couldn't fault it..Will return.Dog friendly View all feedback.
We visited several times over our week in town. This place has amazing food and despite some of the reviews saying otherwise we found the service friendly and efficient. Everything is cooked fresh to order so there is going to be a wait during busy times. I had the poached eggs and avocado on granary several times) an amazing goats cheese salad , waffles and coffee that were both delicious. We also called for drinks too and love the fact you can watch the world go by as you sit outside. We will be back next time we are in Cornwall .
Arrived at 9.40am,ordered by 9.50am..drinks didn’t arrive till 10.15am and food at 10.30....all I’ll say is the best thing about the‘breakfast’was the bread...not what I call a full English,no tomato,no mushrooms and overcooked bacon and sausages, staff very young and clearly not trained atall, which isn’t their fault, leaning across a customer to pass food, come on guys.train your staff, you could have a goldmine...I probably wont return I’m afraid to say...and as someone else pointed out,had to pay before we’d had our food, don’t like that either, hence no tip as couldn’t judge what to give based on 1st impressions and service up till then
Arrived at 11:20 for breakfast and was told they had now stopped serving breakfast, even though their menu clearly said breakfast served until 11:30.Therefore we opted to have something from the lunch menu, this was ordered shortly after 11:30 and it was eventually served at 12:15.45 minutes for burgers and sandwiches! The chicken burger I ordered was extremely dry to the point that a desert would have more moisture, to me it seemed it had even been microwaved or placed under a heat lamp for far too long. With regards to drinks we wanted to order milkshakes to be told that their were none available. One person had her drink missed even though it was ordered and had to remind the staff about this for it to arrive. We had no offer of sugar with our coffeesWhen the food arrived we had no cutlery for the first 5 minutes. We were also made to pay before our food or drinks arrived which I think is very odd.All in all a bad experience and I would not come back to this establishment.
We’ve been here last weekend for a breakfast and I have to say the service was dreadful First of all it took ages for someone to take our orders The babychino came out boiling hot even though we sad only handwarm please The food came out cold and we then had to wait for cutlery The table behind us sat down close after we sat down but never got served and left very upset We then told the waitress with the tattoos that they had left and she just said “tough” and walked off They weren’t even busy. So if you want proper device and warm food and don’t burn your child go elsewhere
I have lived in Looe all my life and often would go in to the cafe for lunch, with it only being takeaway I thought I would try a take out. I ordered a bacon bap it was very dry, my friend ordered toast. It wasn’t busy so I expected to have my food hot considering we sat outside on the wooden bench by the well. Her toast was also cold. When we placed the order I did notice that 2 waitresses one young lady, one older, wasn’t sure if she was the owner they was chatting while we waited at least 20Mins for our food.
