Contribute FeedbackKK used to be a preferred spot in Porthleven until recent changes. The menu alteration, higher prices, and reduced choices have disappointed longtime patrons. Issues with service and kitchen chaos were observed, leading to an underwhelming dining experience for some. On a more positive note, other diners had excellent dishes like hake, squid, and pork belly, despite some minor flaws. Vegan options were highlighted for their tastiness and quality. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere were consistent highlights among reviews, with some guests expressing a desire to return. Overall, mixed feedback signals a notable shift in KK's appeal.
The vegan menu was limited to two appetizers, two netzens and a few pages, but a lot of thought had gone clearly into them. we shared the KFC Korean fried cauliflower with gochugang, chives and salat and the tempura tofu bao bun with picked shitake, miso dressing, wakame and sweet chili. I had the vegan ramensuppe for my head and a side of greens with soy and ginger. the starters were the stars of the show that the kfc was really sharp and the Bao-beat tasted from the sea. the smoker was tasty, but not as beaten as the appetizers. service was good and the staff was very friendly. the only vegan wein was of course the most expensive on the menu (after the sommelier.) after a fast google I discovered that one of the cheaper white wines was also vegan the 2019 les archeres vermentino for those who might be interested! updated by previous review on 2021-08-05 updated by previous review on 2021-08-05
My partner and I had the vegan ramen, kichererbsen curry and shared the flower cabbage. the cauliflower is amazing. next level, very good if you like to get crispy cauliflower this. the chickpea curry again was amazing, we expected as Indian art curry, but it was more thai style. but definitiw not disappointed. the ramen left the meal. it was a boring and embarrassing. the mushrooms were great. but the tofu was bland, I would go so far that the cook does not know how to cook tofu. Finally, the dish needed fresh coriander and some lemon or limette. we also had cocktails that were all amazing. the service was very good, very friendly and helpful staff.
One of my favorite places to eat. vegan eating is always amazing, full of taste and color. it is important that they ring forward and let them know that they are vegan to get the best options available on the day. always go the extra mile. vegan wein is also great!
Amazing. trotting around porthleven at our last day of our annual Cornwall stay, in the pouring rain with two small children when we are here. I am so glad that we stumbled about it because the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the service was on point, the food was delicious and to complete it, they have a family room (happy little children, cheerful mama) full toys where they can entertain themselves, instead of being caught in a high chair! would highly recommend that I cannot wait to visit because the priorities of my breasts are
Omg! what should I say? breathtaking eating (we had 4 appetizers, a few pages, each dessert, a liqueur coffee, every alcohol,) on the earth, fun atmosphere fantastic staff can you laugh with. can not recommend this place enough, it is fantastic!
