I bough a pot each of freshly cooked, Musse... read more If you want fresh you aren’t getting much fresher, unless you are getting up early and on the boats with these guys. I bough a pot each of freshly cooked, Mussels, Cockles and Lobster from the friendly lady and seasoned them with the available salt, pepper, vinegar and hot sauce. I then spent the next 15 mins wandering the beach and the rock pools with my 4 yr old and enjoying the tastes of the sea. Best shellfish I’ve had this year. The same shellfish are available for £88 a plate in the nearby Nathan outlaw cafe. Today I appreciated the simple pleasures with less swearing involved in the prep and for just over a tenner.

The lobster are excelle... read more You may certainly find more expensive crab and lobster, but you won't find better! Dressed crab comes in three sizes ranging from £6-12. The lobster are excellent. Unfortunately the shop closes in the afternoon, so you probably might need to make a special trip and, like anywhere in Port Isaac, parking is tricky, so I bought my lobsters and crabs in one go for freezing. The flavour was unimpaired.

The sta... read more During my trip to Port Isaac, I decided to dine at Just Shellfish and I was not disappointed. I ordered the crab sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly and shared the history of Just Shellfish with me, even pointing out "The Maverick," the boat where they catch all their crab. If you find yourself in Port Isaac, be sure to visit Just Shellfish - it's a must-visit spot that I will definitely return to every time I'm in the village.

The effort that goes into picking the crab is fascinating to watch, had a wonderful chat with the girl while she worked, so sweet. I was able to buy the exact amount of white crab meat I needed for my salad and also took home some live lobsters! Next time I visit I’m buying one of their hoodies! Highly recommend!

Really friendly family run place- cannot wait to come back!

Unfortunately, I regret taking that recommendation. The server was extremely rude and seemed to think serving us was beneath her. The sandwich itself was disappointing - the bread was soggy and the crab tasted far from fresh, leaving a bad aftertaste. After just two bites, I gave up and let the seagulls finish it. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I suggest trying the Krab Pot instead for better service and higher quality ingredients.

Looking at all the fresh fish, crabs and lobsters freshly caught earlier.I requested a crab sandwich with lemon juice and black pepper in granary bread. I took it away with me to eat later. I can tell you it was the meatiest and succulent crab sandwich I have had in a long time.I may just have to go back for another one before my holiday ends.
