Contribute FeedbackThe Holmbush Inn presents a blend of experiences that leave diners divided. While some guests praise the friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food—particularly the generous Sunday roasts and well-cooked steaks—others express disappointment in service and a significant price increase since the pandemic. Reports of cleanliness issues and subpar holiday meals have surfaced, leading to some patrons opting for at-home dining instead. Despite these critiques, a nostalgic charm remains, with many reminiscing about fond memories at the pub. As the inn navigates its new management, it holds potential for rejuvenation, appealing to both locals and visitors alike.
Great roast dinner. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us. Desserts were a bit overpriced for the portion size.
The price range listed is inaccurate, it's actually much higher than £5 to £16. The pub is now under new management, had Korev beer and three of our group got sick, suggesting they need to improve their cleanliness. However, the staff were friendly and the food was good. Dining out has become more expensive since lockdown, so I prefer eating at home where I can cook better and cheaper meals with better taste.
I visited the restaurant for the first time in a while and was happy to see familiar faces. The staff were lovely and I can't wait to come back again soon!
Average food poor service staff swearing at the bar Could make this pub so much more than what it is The staff do t seam to care no wonder it’s not busy on the plus side you can always get a table
Great calm atmosphere and lovely customer service from the bubbly bar maid Ellie. Dog friendly and amazing fish and chips. Will visit again.
