Enjoyed a great meal here traditional pub grub. Truly awful weather on the day we visited. Every single place in Newquay town centre was fully booked, but this lovely pub managed to find us some space. We were not disappointed! Highly recommended and nice to get out of the tourist area of the town. Thanks! View all feedback.
What Alexandra Simpson doesn't like about Farmers Arms:
Lovely pub in St Colomb Minor where my great great grandfather was born. Very popular. Glad I arrived early but gave up my table for a couple of later arrivals as soon as I finished eating. The Sunday roast meal was huge. But the knives...were blunt and I struggled to cut up my meal to eat it. Lovely setting. Kay Glanville View all feedback.

Beautiful pub. for Sunday dinner was the lunch delicious and very cheap with a three cursor meal for £14.95 in the interior was smartly decorated and clean, log burner made for a cozy atmosphere. loved the Doggy menu option. the staff was friendly and attentive, we were in a big camper and fought with parking. we would definitely be back, but would park the roadside and in
Visited on a Saturday evening it was getting busy when we arrived and unfortunately they were short staffed. Quite a selection of beers and drinks to choose from. The menu was looking good I had the ale pie that was really good kids had lasagne...all made on the premises. The wife ordered the ham and eggs which came out with alot of fay on and what looked like just very thick back bacon this wasn 't what we were expecting so called over the waitress and she took it away and was happy to replace with something else so brilliant opted for the bangers and mash of which the sausages were top notch, but prior to this the owner I believe came out to say there is nothing wrong with that dish we sell loads of it here the locals love it we cure it on site...... but I will change it for you!!!!!!! Absolutely no need for him to comment let alone come out of the kitchen on such a busy evening. Remember we are not local and are visiting and the customer is always right and leave it at that.
First impressions were good, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Ordered food from the table using the app, great. Alarm Bells should have gone off how quickly the food was delivered....The burger although very non descript and obviously not made from decent meat was nothing compared to the 'hunters chicken '.It sat in a swathe of liquid, not a Hunters sauce, and when you cut it, it was too firm. The texture was hard to describe, but it was in-edible and tasteless. We both tried it, it was disgusting. It was sent back and refunded and the staff were apologetic. All in all, I will never eat there again despite the other reviews.
Absolutely lovely food and massive portions, will definitely be back. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable.
