If you like a Sunday Roast then go here. It’s nice welcoming inside too. Can honestly say 10/10 best pub roast I’ve had I’ve had a few ! Lovely soft beef, loads of veggies fairly good value too at £14ish esp compared to many I’ve visited at above that price. Bit of an uphill slog from St.Ives to Carbis Bay but there are frequent buses up the long hill is worth the trip ! Would definitely recommend so would our Labrad... View all feedback.
What Carol Highley doesn't like about Cornish Arms:
The tables were not very clean and felt sticky. The staff were not wearing masks during these scary times, and there did not seem to be enough COVID protection measures in place. It's a shame because we have been regular customers for years, but this year we felt disappointed. View all feedback.
I genuinely do not know where to start with this event. we got in touch with David earlier this year wanting to host a pre drink for a family wedding. What can I say other then David and his team customised a menu, closed the pub for us to have it exclusively and delivered with a smile. The food was incredible the hospitality was even better. Thank you to the whole team for all your help. I can't wait to come and visit again.
Had a last minute Sunday lunch here and it will definitely be a favourite place in future. It was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, we all cleared our plates. Yum yum
Friendly traditional pub. Recommend the homemade pie. Reasonable prices. Recommend booking as can be difficult to get a table.

We have been to St Ives several times and driven, and even walked. past. Something didn 't 'grab us ' to go in. However, one Sunday in October, we really wanted a roast for dinner. Strange times, as the area can 't get staff, and so our initial ideas had limited space/fully booked, or didn 't serve roast after ~5pm. The Cornish Arms only serve roast on a Sunday, with two sittings, the last taking orders until 19:30 ... perfect. Not sureI would really call it a gastro pub. The breaded mushrooms were quite solid and couldn 't be cut with a knife (but if a problem, as the inside can be scalding hot). That said, the beef was very good. One of the best I have had, but not quite the gastro standard I have had elsewhere. My wife said the Turkey was a bit dry, but I tried some and thought it was fine ... nature of the .. bird. Good portions and very tasty, also good selection of beers and gins. Definitely come back on another visit.
