Contribute FeedbackLocated on a scenic campsite, Cedars Restaurant has garnered rave reviews for its delicious food and family-friendly atmosphere. Diners love the Sunday carvery, featuring tender meats and fresh vegetables, alongside inventive dishes like the sweet potato and goat cheese burger. While some have noted occasional staff hiccups, the overall service is attentive and accommodating, especially regarding dietary needs. The restaurant's cleanliness and engaging ambiance, including soft play for kids, enhance the experience. With consistently improving food quality and a welcoming environment, Cedars is a must-visit for both travelers and locals alike.
I walked into the restaurant today only to be informed that as of Sunday, October 28th, 2018, they are closing for a planned refurbishment. However, I am suspicious as the staff was only notified last Wednesday, which was the first they had heard of it. Unfortunately, they are all losing their jobs as of today, with only a 5-day notice for them and just one day for us as regular customers. It is a great shame as it was a friendly place with wonderful staff and great food. It's a pity that there was no advanced warning, so now we have to find another venue or start cooking at home again after all these years. Many customers are extremely angry and sad. Thank you for all the wonderful meals, we will miss you all and wish you good luck in your future endeavors.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delightful, made fresh daily. The carvery is especially outstanding, so be sure to make a reservation for that. The staff is very friendly and ensures that you are well taken care of.
I have visited Cedars for their Sunday carvery a few times now and each time I have had a really enjoyable meal. The price is very reasonable, with three choices of meat, plenty of fresh vegetables, and all the trimmings you could want. My son enjoyed playing in the soft play area while we waited for our lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and sanitized it was. Being part of a campsite, Cedars is very family-friendly, which adds to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend it.
Excellent quiz, with a great quiz master. The food is a car very and very tasty, the staff are all excellent really polite and helpful. It’s a really friendly place to go.
This restaurant is actually based in the clubhouse at Sun Valley Caravan Park on the way into Pentewan. The staff are great friendly, welcoming and really knowledgeable. This is not your typical caravan park bar restaurant, the food could rival many pricier establishments! The menu is creative and varied, the 2 young chefs there produce really lovely dishes that are beautifully cooked and well presented. We chose seafood starters baked crab in a sauce and mussells cooked in Rattler cider and bacon, followed by belly pork also cooked in Rattler cider with garlic rosemary potatoes and shredded spring cabbage. It was full of flavour and very well presented. The mid week carvery looked excellent and was really good value for money. The Cedars is also open to the public if you're in the area, I suggest you give it a go!
