What Gailiūtė Elona doesn't like about Blisland Inn:
Having enjoyed a few drinks here we were looking forward to dinner. I Ordered fried Brie which was tasty but cold. The trout was tasteless and when this was pointed out we were told that’s the way it is served, steamed and that’s it. One...of the servers knocked off a chip and put it back on my plate . A definite no no during a pandemic. My partner had the Moroccan lamb curry that was spicy but bland. Despite not hav... View all feedback.
My wife and I had a nice visit to the Pub. Had a beer and a few light snacks whist visiting with the locals and staff. A nice time.
Went for a lovely walk on the moor with the dog popped in for some chips and an ice cream Sundae on the way home. Lovely polite young staff and the owner was really welcoming and chatty too.
Lovely pub, excellent selection of ales, friendly staff, good food. Couldn't ask for more. Enjoyed.
Sunny beer garden out front. Great food and hearty portions. Super friendly/ helpful staff. We stopped off by chance to see if they did food in the evening. Extensive menu but we opted for a couple of the specials a lamb curry that came with rice, nan bread, mini popadoms and mango chutney and a home made beef lasagne that came with salad and chips. Both were tasty. The dessert menu looked good too but we were just too full from the huge main courses so had to pass. It’s less of a typically touristy spot too so prices are very reasonable. Just make sure you don’t sit in the seat of a local in the main bar . We almost did but we’re skilfully guided to another table by the staff
Phoned in advance as I don’t eat meat. Told they would be able to serve me a nut roast. Chardonnay ordered was room temperature and nut roast turned out to be frozen vegetable bakes from the supermarket…… very disappointed although my husband enjoyed the beer.
