We went for lunch to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, the wine selection was great, and the service was excellent. The menu offers a wide variety of interesting and fresh ingredients to appeal to everyone's tastes. Natalie took care of us from the moment we walked in, ensuring that I had a memorable birthday lunch by even arranging a complimentary dessert for me. We will d... View all feedback.
What afkm doesn't like about Bedruthan Steps:
Ordered beers first, to be followed by wine. No beers arrived. Quite nice beetroot salad and tempura battered fish/seafood bits. Padron peppers hard as rocks. Sent back to be cooked properly; second lot only marginally softer. Hispi cabbage was the texture of a dishcloth wilted and soggy. Looked boiled, rather than charred. Schnitzel had thick layer of doughy/floury uncooked batter each side of the meat (price of thi... View all feedback.
Slightly confusing t hat Bedruthan Steps Hotel is actually in Mawgan Porth, but fantastic views in this lovely modern hotel with lots of different beautifully furnished bars and lounges. We went early in the season but found the staff welcoming and friendly. The quality of the lunch was good except the Cornish Steak which was very tough and mainly gristle, a one off I would hope!
This is the second time we have done this offer and we love it. The whole hotel is so relaxed yet there are always lots of staff around to help with any problems. It is a family orientated hotel but they do offer tranquility rooms for adults only.
Modern restaurant with attentive staff. We were shown to banquette style seating but asked for a table with chairs and were accommodated immediately. It is possible to eat from the Wild Cafe menu in the Herring. Bread served first was amazing. Food is fresh and well cooked. A glass of wine is quite expensive, compared to a bottle. No house wines.
It is amazing to eat excellent food and have a view!I sat watching the beach at Mawgan Porth as a gale blew in and soaked an already wet landscape. But I was in the restaurant at Bedruthan Steps and enjoying a delicious curry cooked with seasonal vegetables. It was made all the more tastier as I watched that gale blow. The restaurant is a lovely place to be on any day but I had been there on sunny days never on wet, windy autumn days. The curry was replaced with a chocolate torte which melted in the mouth. The food, ambiance and restaurant are amazing best to experience on a lovely sunny day where you can shed the pounds you have eaten with a stroll on the beach. But this was a unique and new experience for me.
Excellent restaurant, the lobster was exquisite as was the steak that I had to go with it. Beautiful surroundings lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
