After over a year of trying to make it here we finally visited Thigs. I'm mad it took so long. This is the cutest cocktail bar in downtown Cornelius! There was a dj spinning and the drinks were flowing. They have a great drink menu with both signature cocktails and seasonal ones. The presentation is always key for me and the presentation here was on point. Cute glasses, pretty garnishes .. I loved it. I had the ban hattan a banana flavored Manhattan really good. I also had the clementine blossom. It came in the cutest little short glass with fresh flowers. Not sure if they were edible but it made for a pretty drink. It was very light and very refreshing. They have a full bar, so you can order off the menu if you'd like, they even offer flights. There is street parking available, which is where we parked on a Saturday night, no problem.

However upon walking in we felt like we were an annoyance to the bartender. Mind you there was only one other couple there (who already had drinks). She acted as if she couldn 't be bothered and when we sat at the bar to engage in conversation, she would pretend like she didn 't hear us and then would turn around a few minutes later and say what? It wasn 't loud in there either. The drink she made us was only half full, although aesthetically pleasing. She was also talking poorly about another bartender to the manager? Owner? Who stopped by briefly.Honestly I could have made this drink at home, I go out to engage in conversation and for the vibe and this was lacking- far too many similar places in the area who offer the same thing but a better ambiance. I get hiring quality staff can be a challenge but I 'd hate to know my staff was treating my guests like this. If the owner makes employee changes or training in hospitality we might give it a try again. 2 stars is generous but like I said aesthetically pleasing.

Alec was h... read more We stopped in without a reservation on a Tuesday night with hopes to sit at the bar for a couple of drinks. It was a slow night so there was no wait. Alec was highly attentive and make 2 excellent recommendations to get us started. A couple regulars came in and we all started chatting and Alec was able to suggest and upsell us on additional drinks for all of us that were excellent. Truly great and professional service, with kudos to the owners for encouraging Alec and the staff to express their creative talents!
