This is a great bakery with a terrific variety of breads and heavenly scones. It's part of a small national chain, who controls their own grain fields in Montana. They grind their own grain daily! I always buy 2 loaves of healthy tasty breads, that are about as good as they get. They have an espresso machine and a few tables in a quiet, sunny porch, where it's nice to have lunch and a leisurely coffee hour with a fri... View all feedback.
What Tamara C doesn't like about Great Harvest Bread Co:
The girl working the front counter was rude and unwelcoming. We had never been there before and she acted like we were bothering her. Even when we left and said thank you and goodbye she couldn't be bothered to respond. The bread was delicious though so I gave it 2 stars even though we'll probably not return as we felt unwelcome and we were bothering the staff. View all feedback.
Great place to get fresh wonderful baked goods. I changed the time on my order at the last minute, and the lady with the cute apron did a top flight job getting me together. This is my new spot ! I've been back twice since this is how my family will get bread from now on
I gave this place a 2 because although the food is good the person behind the counter should not be working with the public. A few weeks ago my daughter, who has been there multiple times, wanted to meet a friend for a late lunch. She arrived at approximately 3:40 and her friend at 3:45. They go to place their order and the girl behind the counter says I 'm sorry we 're closed. My daughter says you 're open till 4:00. The girl says but you can 't order any food because we 're closed. She didn 't offer to get them something to go. They had to go somewhere else. As they we 're leaving a man walks in and she says, Hi how can I help you. Not I 'm sorry we 're closed. I guess it 's a choice of who they feel is worthy of staying a few minutes late for. Actually, having been in the restaurant and service business for twenty years I know that when you close at 4:00. It means that you are closed to any new customers or orders so you can start your clean up, restock for the next day, balance the register, etc. It 's bad business to cut people off before the posted closing hours. If you want to go home at 4 then post the hours at 3 or 3:30. This is very disappointing. I was looking forward to trying it because my daughter really likes the food. But I 'd rather go to someplace that has good food and great service over a place that has great food and rude, lazy service. But that 's just me.

Had a difficult time at the place. Only water available was in a bottle, and none that was cold. The woman said she'd bring a glass with ice, but we were finished with our meal before she did. I asked for a roll or piece of bread with my salad, but she would only sell me a half dozen or dozen rolls. Really? Perhaps they were short staffed, but while the food was good, service and accommodating customers requests needed much improvement.
The food was great. The mint chocolate chip brownie was awesome for St. Patrick's Day. The smokey mountain sandwich was very good too. The hot pepper jelly and cream cheese combo add a wonderful flavor to the sandwich. It is a nice and cozy place with good food.
