I ordered the pork chop, which arrived very well presented... read more Last night's dinner was a huge disappointment from what we'd otherwise come to expect by past visits. I ordered the pork chop, which arrived very well presented and aromatic. Unfortunately, that's where any enjoyment ends. Ordered medium temperature at the server's suggestion, it arrived tough, dry and tasteless. With the exception of its smoke and char exterior, it was little more than a bland, unpleasant representation of the fine animal it came from. Our dinner companions both ordered the grouper special, which arrived very undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. That only happened by grabbing a passing manager's sleeve, as our server never checked in during most of the meal. Very disappointing experience.

The food was delicious( The pork chop pictured), the service was surprisingly fast, and we loved the intimate, low light atmosphere. My only complaint would be thatthe waiter spent a lot of time and attention on my husband and didn’t really cater to me. Little did he know i was paying fordinner lol

We... read more Gets close to me pressing that 5th star but I’m still holding out. We went 4pm early to be able to sit without a protracted wait. Got drinks and corn bread. We weren’t even done with our corn bread before main courses were brought. It’s like wewere being rushed in a half empty restaurant before 5pm. The shrimp and grits were good. You get 5 shrimp, which seems lessthan what other reviewers have in their photos. NC trout was plentiful and good. Ribs were delicious. Room is dark. Place isclean, from what I could see. Friendly service.
