We visited Denton in the evening and chose this restaurant for dinner. The staff was very friendly, and the food was enjoyable. However, the restaurant itself is in poor shape. While it is on the pricier side, that's common for hibachi restaurants, and I think it’s worth it. I deducted one star because we noticed that only two chefs were serving the entire stage over the weekend, resulting in some delays. Despite that, we really love this place and continue to come back!

It shows significant wear and is in desperate need of repairs, such as fresh paint. The most concerning issues were the unpleasant odor in the bathrooms and the buildup of old food debris around the grill area. While the grill itself was clean, it seemed like the channels between the tables and the grill had not been cleaned in a long time, which was quite off-putting. Overall, while the food was good, they shouldn't charge premium prices for such a rundown establishment.
This restaurant used to be amazing. The portions were generous, especially with the rice, and there was always enough left to take home. Unfortunately, they've recently increased the prices by about $5 per plate, while halving the food portions. I paid $25 for just six scallops, which is quite outrageous for what you get. The fried rice used to be delectable, filled with a variety of ingredients like shrimp and vegetables, but now it’s just eggs and rice. While I’ve never encountered rudeness from the management or staff, the changes have been disappointing. The chefs are still excellent and the food tastes wonderful, which keeps us coming back—though now we only visit maybe twice a year.
I would not give this place, if possible, staring. I went two times in two years and both males it is obvious that the people working here do not listen and do not care. they are overloaded for the post-processing and consistently do not receive orders. we called in a pick-up order for four SIDE orders from fried rice and finally got four full boxes rice and got 35. they also don't let them eat with someone without a crazy amount for an additional plate, over which cost another meal. they don't waste their time or money, they go decent.
Terrible customer service. Ten minutes at the front counter before anyone would speak to us. The one person in a nearby counter seemed absolutely disinterested in being helpful. In fact, when asked about where I might get help, he barked back that it wasn't his job to help me. The food was overly salted. The chef at the Japanese cooking show was surly and acerbic. The manger visited our table one time. Seemed like a nice chap. Felt badly for him. But, his team is truly terrible.
