Popped in for our daily caffeine trip. Discovered the coffee shop while browsing the merchandise downstairs and the amazing cheese selection and promised we would return and try the cafe, the menu is vast, we went for a coffee (flat white) fabulous and a pot... View all feedback.
What 765AndiSc doesn't like about Corbridge Larder:
Called in for brunch, but decided not to stay. Cramped upstairs and food didn’t look very interesting to be honest. I do like to try out new places but this place wasn’t very appealing once indoors. View all feedback.
Fantastic food and very friendly service Hot beef sandwich and black pudding salad a feast for the eyes and stomach Latte beautiful Well recommended
We were in Corbridge and thought this looked nice, and how right we were! The cafe upstairs is simply decorated but the food was amazing and interesting. We had spicy Moroccan chicken and Welsh rarebit, both of which were delicious. There is a wide selection of teas and the cakes looked fantastic as well. As others have said, the service was a little slow (we arrived just after the lunch time rush and it was busy), so you need to be patient, but the wait was well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The deli downstairs was great too, with the biggest cheese counter I think I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth a visit and we are already planning to go back.
This small cafe above an interesting deli stocking lots of local goodies. Very extensive menu for such a small place Central location in village but up a steep flight of stairs. Dog friendly. Lots of choice for vegans/veggies and those with gluten issues. Service is slow but food worth the wait.
Excellent coffee, good service and outstanding cheese scones! Well worth the visit, just for them. Managed to resist their other offerings, but looked good too.
Changed over the last year: Coffee was lovely, food certainly wasn’t, very little meat in a stale bun cake dried out. Informed the waitress as it was left on the plate “sorry” was reply; totally uninterested. Would not return or recommend. On a positive note however, the Delicatessen downstairs is nice as was the gentleman serving.
