Best cheeseburgers ever! Still made with real hamburger not prepattied! Only chili that doesn't give me heartburn. Food is always great! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 View all feedback.

Great service. Last time I ate here I was a kid. I didn't expect much, I was just hungry and they sell food. Next time I come to Corbin I'm definitely coming here again. A+
The food was excellent, and the root beer had that bold flavor I remember from back in the day. The waitress was delightful and had a great sense of humor.
The last place we ventured to on our Food Fun Adventure Weekend was The Root Beer Stand in Corbin, KY. The Root Beer Stand is a drive in style burger joint located right beside Corbin High School. We ordered and split a few items from the menu. The cheeseburger was juicy and not too thick. It had a good cook to it from what I believe is a griddle. It was fully dressed with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. All in all a good burger. I ordered onion rings which were fried well and had a good crunch. The batter was a little thicker than I like, but they were tasty. I sampled the crinkle cut fries and though fried well, they did need a touch more salt.I also tried a local favorite known as the Dixie Burger. This is a hamburger with pickles and onions and a BBQ sauce. Again the burger was cooked well although not as juicy as the Cheeseburger. The onions and pickles worked well with the BBQ sauce. The sauce had a mild sweetness to it but was a bit thin. I think it was a good burger, but the sauce could be thicker for a better mouth feel and chew.My fiancé tried the Root Beer Float, which she thought was great. It had a good balance of ice cream to soda. The Root Beer Stand serves fan favorites such as burgers, chili dogs, chuck wagons and even a BBQ sandwich. The staff was friendly, and the prices are pretty cheap. One side note is they do not have public restrooms, but the waitress said if the doors are unlocked anyone can use them. The Fat Man says that The Root Beer Stand is Fat Man Approved.
