My one and only problem with Sweet Tomatoes is that I'm not always in the mood for salad. That being said, I often eat here and yesterday ate mostly from the soup and desert bar in the rear. They have varied breads, corn, sweet rye's etc, quite a few choices of soups, all hot and delicious. If you go don't forget to google it on line and print out the coupon, ours offered a 2 for 1 deal which can't be beat. Also, the... View all feedback.
What Corinne doesn't like about Sweet Tomatoes:
BOGO Brunch Free coupon in Sunday's paper so my husband and I tried it. Also had to buy 2 drinks at $2.50 each. I think it was the first brunch ever that had no meat. The powdered eggs smelled like fish, the orange juice was so watered down, the muffins were dry and bland, the bananas were bland and starchy, and the tomatoes (especially for being the name sake of the restaurant) were crunchy and yellowish orange they... My only issue with Sweet Tomatoes is that I'm not always in the mood for salad. However, I frequently dine here, and during my visit yesterday, I focused mainly on the soup and dessert bar at the back. They offer a variety of breads, including cornbread and sweet rye, along with a great selection of hot and delicious soups. If you decide to go, be sure to look it up online and print out a coupon—ours had a fantastic buy-one-get-one-free offer that can’t be beaten. Additionally, there's ample parking available. Give it a try; I think you'll enjoy it!
Although I'm not typically a fan of buffets, I really enjoy creating my own salad. I'm also a big fan of the vegetable soup and the chocolate/vanilla swirl yogurt.
We found a BOGO Brunch Free coupon in Sunday's newspaper, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. However, we had to purchase two drinks at $2.50 each. To our surprise, this brunch was the first we've ever experienced that didn't offer any meat options. The powdered eggs had an unpleasant fishy smell, the orange juice was overly watered down, and the muffins were dry and tasteless. The bananas were also bland and starchy, while the tomatoes—especially considering they are the restaurant's namesake—were crunchy and had a yellowish-orange hue, clearly far from ripe or sweet. We were very disappointed!
