Doris is a wonderful market! Vegetables and fruits are really fresh and clean. Thanks to Rafael to keep the Veggies clean and well organized. Pasta, sauces and cheese are very nice. Prepared food is delicious. Bakery is the best. Appropriate prices. I love shopping here. What User doesn't like about Doris Italian Market Bakery:
Got the Pizza Rustica for Easter. No eggs, barely any meat- only cheese and crust. No I did not grab the whole wheat option. Disappointed as Pizza Rustica always uses egg. It was also super undercooked, even for something you bring home and “heat up”. Was told to put it at 350f for 20 minutes. Didn’t work, it’s just bland and barely has the meat you pay for. Absolutely wonderful it's like a One-Stop store you could find everything you need here the people are so friendly they know where everything is and the manager Gary is outstanding if you need anything he will make sure to handle it.
Great produce and usually some items are on sale. They offer meat bundle specials during the holidays. A big plus at Doris’ is already made entrees to warm up if you’re in a hurry. The Eggplant Parmesan was great and the marinara was perfect. You won’t need extra seasonings, they do a perfect job using premium ingredients. Online weekly specials on their website will give you an idea what you’ll be cooking that week. It’s a little difficult to navigate through the store if someone leaves their cart in the isle. Tried to buy rolls from the bakery at about 5pm, the clerk said they were fresh but they were hard, did not buy them. We then bought rum ba ba's, she said they were fresh too when we had them that night they were stale. Beware of baked goods. Updated 0624/23. I upgrade their stars by 1 because bakery goods looked and tasted better, however they do not sell rolls in less then 6 packs. Meat and fish cases looked good but several items in deli case looked dry and old. Produce looked ok. Updated 11/19/23 Good rolls and produce. Del casei items looked old and dry seafood and meat very overpriced. Looked good but Costco is a lot less for better quality. There deli roast beef was fresh and tasty. Bakery cakes and items are very good.
I gotta take out my time to say this the girls in the bakery department they surely do put in there effort to make or do wonderful cakes like they just did a cake for my brother and sister-in-law they did a wonderful job along that so whoever works in the bakery all the credit goes out to everyone in that department by doing a wonderful job thanks and thank you I do appreciate it and so do they meaning my brother and sister -in-law you made there day more special to them last night
