What Augment Movement doesn't like about Micocos:
Based on its high rating, I was expecting a great spot to eat but what I got was a ~20 minute wait as the only customer there for premade-mix pancakes with fake maple syrup (cornsyrup). For the price, I should have expected as much but it was still disappointing. Small place maybe 30 seats. Not a lot of selection menu small. Food mediocre. Plastic utensils. The outside is loud next to busy road. Parking 2 blocks away.
Fantastic authentic Cuban coffee, amazing quesadillas and such sweet people working there!! Loved it!
Don’t miss this (nearly hidden) gem. Nestled on the DOUGLAS ROAD side of the building (see photos), you can hop up to the terrace (where there are outdoor dining tables) from the northern edge of 1 Alhambra Place. There is also an entrance from the lobby. Although most patrons seemed to be regulars, this newbie was treated like a long-lost friend. A very nice Western Omelet and a large Cafe con Leche made a great start to my day.
Amazing breakfast with great atmosphere and 10/10 service would recommend to anyone anytime!
