We ate here for Halloween to celebrate my brother's birthday. It was the best decision we made to find a reservation here. The attention to detail in each dish is perfection and the flavors of each dish was delicious. I especially enjoyed the social interaction we all have received from all the cooks and teams. Everyone was happy and attentive and we really felt welcome in their kitchen and enjoyed every bite. Our co... View all feedback.
What erika goldman doesn't like about El PorteÑo:
Manager Ms. Julieta needs customer service training. As a manager she should learn how to speak to paying clients whether it’s take out or dine in. Would love if the owner would contact me! View all feedback.
We had a lovely experience there last week. The empanadas were fantastic, and the service was warm and friendly. My only minor issues were that the air conditioning wasn't working well—it was quite warm inside—and my filet mignon was overcooked, even though I ordered it medium. I'll definitely return soon to see if they can earn that fifth star!
How does this restaurant not have more reviews? Three of us stopped by after being turned away from three other places with a 1.5-hour wait, and we couldn't have been happier! I can't quite recall the name of our amazing server, who I think is also the owner, but she made us feel so welcome and well cared for. The beef empanadas were the best any of us had ever tasted—they're her family’s recipe! We enjoyed a beautiful and affordable bottle of organic Malbec, along with homemade bread rolls served with hummus, and the seafood risotto. Everything was excellent. This place truly deserves more business! You should definitely check it out!
Decided to give it a shot, had the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce. Filet was prepared medium, for a filet it was pretty tough to chew, very fatty, sauce was tasty. Ok food but would not go back for dinner again.
Excellent food . Everything was so tasty and delicious. It was a nice setting Not crowded . Perfect for a date night .
Wow. This food was incredible!! We are travelers from Chicago who love our steakhouses. From the homemade pasta (Bucatini with pink sauce) to the largest strip steak I 've seen one one plate (the Argentinian special) and the most delicious Portena strip steak, to the scrumptious seafood risotto, it was a feast. My teenage son loved his steak so much that I thought he was going to lick his plate. I can 't believe this place wasn 't more busy. We had the waitress all to ourselves and she is delightful. In her words our food is good because it is made with love . This was a FANTASTIC experience.
